VerdeBazaar 0.2.3 Released

Today we have released version 0.2.3 of VerdeBazaar for production use.  This version is an incremental release that incorporates both alterations to the Administrator interface as well as fixes for a number of known issues.

The Administrator interface has undergone a micro-refresh with emphasis on a standard look and feel across all listings and forms.  We've also tidied up some of the language to minimise potentially confusing terminology and descriptions (technobabble removal).

This version is already live on both this website and the VerdeBazaar demonstration site.  For an abbreviated list of changes, see the VerdeBazaar Changelog.

2011 Website Launched

We are happy to announce the new look whiteleafnetworks.com.  This is not just a design refresh, but a whole new site built on our latest generation content management system (CMS), VerdeBazaar.

The new site has been design to be clean and fresh and as easy to use as possible.  We've taken the feedback and suggestions received about its' predecessor and combined them with the capabilities of VerdeBazaar to deliver a site we believe is easy to use and operate.  As always, if you have any comments or suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

New and changed functionality

The obvious big change is one of design.  We spent a lot of time generating a design that was both clean, clear to use but was also distinctive.  The principle colour remains green, but there are now blues, oranges and (sometimes) reds thrown in in a format we hope is easy to use.

As before, we've kept the common links to the various customer tools on the homepage.  These include the hosting control panel, the support helpdesk and the WebAnalytics control panel.  We launched the support helpdesk last year and its' functionality remains unchanged.  WebAnalytics is a new statistical package available to our hosting customers and delivers detailed reports and analysis on website visits.

We've enhanced the methods whereby you can contact us with new online capabilites.  There are further enhancements for this planned for the near future to make this process as simple as possible.

Our company blog has been migrated from the Wordpress platform to the new blogging capabilities within VerdeBazaar.  This change means that our blog is now truly integrated into our corporate website with posts easily searchable alongside other site content.

Revised and updated content

As part of the new site, we've revised and updated all of our support and help articles as well as added some new ones.  To mitigate against potential confusion, we've maintained the category structure within the support knowledgebase and key articles have not been renamed.

VerdeBazaar

At the core of the new site is VerdeBazaar, our latest generation content management system (CMS). VerdeBazaar has been designed an developed in-house and is our base system for all new web projects.

We're continually developing VerdeBazaar adding new functionalities and capabilities to deliver a product that is both powerful and versatile without compromising ease of use.

New Support Helpdesk

Our new support ticketing system is now live any may be accessed at the dedicated address of http://helpdesk.whiteleafnetworks.com.

For those unfamiliar with support tickets, they are essentially trackable messages between you and our support team.  A support message – called a ticket is submitted to our system.  This ticket is then assigned a unique reference number or code for ease of reference.  Any subsequent updates to this ticket are logged and recorded by our system so that a full history of an individual ticket is retained for both the reporter and our records.

Unlike other ticketing systems, there is no requirement to register or create an account prior to submitting a request.  All you will need is a valid e-mail address that our support team use to correspond with you further regarding your ticket.
 

Knowledgebase Updates March 2009

We recently added some new articles, and updated some old entries in our Support Knowledgebase.  The new articles answer some previously unaddressed queries and also some unexpected.  In particular, we recommend that all our customers take note of our Recommendations for Complicated Passwords.

Our Support Knowledgebase is an online library of answers, tips and hints relating to the most commonly asked questions, queries and problems experienced by our customers.  If you are experiencing a problem, or have a query, the likelihood is that that the answer is probably within the Knowledgebase.

We are always looking to expand the information within the Knowledgebase, so if you think there is a question, topic or problem we should address, please contact us.

New 2009 Website

Over the course of the weekend 28th February 2009 – 1st March 2009, we will be launching the new version of our company website. The new website has been carefully designed and developed over the last six months building on the success of its’ predecessor without compromising usability or experience.

To the casual visitors, there will be fairly little visible change to our website.  To ensure consistency and to reduce any confusion, we have made minimal changes to our website’s design.  Instead, we have concentrated on rebuilding the underlying core systems.  The entire site is built using Microsoft ASP.Net 3.5 incorporating Ajax functionality.
